You can’t knock Teyana Taylor‘s hustle.

On Monday, Taylor reflected on her career and thanked Jay-Z a day after sharing the stage with him during his third and final night of his Yankee Stadium residency on Sunday. Taylor helped kick off the “Extra Innings” show by coming out to do Mary J. Blige’s part on “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” the acclaimed track from Jay-Z’s 1996 debut album Reasonable Doubt.

In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram alongside photos from Sunday night, Taylor said that while there were issues with the sound on stage, the “gratitude was louder than any mic could ever be.” She continued, “I got to see this lil Harlem girl stand beside the GOAT… in Yankee Stadium… in front of over 40,000 people who showed so much love. If you would’ve told this lil Harlem girl that one day she’d share a stage with JAY-Z in one of the most iconic stadiums in the world….she would’ve never believed you.” She added: “Father God has a funny way of reminding you just how far you’ve come.”

Taylor also thanked Jay-Z for inviting her to take part on “such an iconic night,” and said that she’ll “never take moments like this for granted & I’ll carry this one with me forever.”

Jay’Z’s anniversary shows at Yankee Stadium — one for Reasonable Doubt at 30, one for The Blueprint at 25, and one “Extra Innings” celebration for the fans — saw a procession of A-list stars across all three nights on July 10, 11, and 12, 2026. Beyoncé performed the first song on night one, singing the chorus of “Can’t Knock the Hustle” alongside her husband. She came back on night three to do her own massive hit, “Drunk in Love.” Other iconic artists that shared the stage with Jay-Z included Rihanna, Usher, Fat Joe and Jadakiss, Pharrell Williams, Clipse, Alicia Keys, Eminem, Nas, and more.
