The songs marked the Nigerian superstar’s first and latest singles of the year, respectively
Burna Boy packed the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon stage to the brim with dancers and musicians for a medley of “Update” and “Love.” The songs marked the Nigerian superstar’s first and latest single releases of the year, respectively, bookending his album No Sign of Weakness.
Burna Boy jammed alongside two disco dancers in shimmering silver jumpsuits, three backing vocalists, and an eight-piece band. “On a normal day, them no fit touch my energy,” he sang on “Update,” sharing some optimism for the new year. “Love” was similarly uplifting, with the musician dropping wise reminders like “No go dey live your life to impress anybody” and “Never buy a dream if it’s sold to you.”
The Tonight Show doesn’t usually air on Sundays, but made an exception this weekend for an episode featuring guests Millie Bobby Brown and Kenan Thompson.
The late-night slot arrives as Burna Boy enters the last stretch of shows on his No Signs of Weakness world tour. The trek will continue on Dec. 8 in Atlanta with additional stops scheduled in Orlando, Newark, Montréal, and Toronto throughout the remainder of the month. The tour will resume in January with performances across Europe.

“Touring teaches me how connected people are through rhythm. It doesn’t matter where you are, when that bass hits right, the reaction is the same,” Burna Boy told Rolling Stone Australia earlier this year. “Touring this hard teaches you discipline in a new way. It’s not just stage time. It’s sleep, recovery, hydration, routine, and then switching it all off the second the lights go up. I like the challenge. Every city adds something to the album that didn’t exist before; it’s like the songs keep evolving in real time.”
No Signs of Weakness marked the first full-length release from Burna Boy since 2023’s I Told Them… and 2022’s Love, Damini.
