The musician pulls off some crazy stunts (with the help of green screen and stunt doubles) in the new clip for the Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally track
Harry Styles plays the action hero — with the help from some stunt doubles — in the new music video for “American Girls.”
Directed by James Mackel, the clip finds Styles spending a day on the set: He embarks on a cross-country motorcycle journey, casually drives a sports car underneath a stalled-out semi truck, runs through a desert landscape peppered with explosives, and completes a massive motorcycle flip against a setting sun.
Of course, a lot of this is completed with the help of green screen technology and two well-trained stunt doubles. For all the action in the “American Girls” clip, there’s a kind of charming mundanity to it as Styles drifts from one scene to the next, eats some snacks with his stunt doubles, and stays continually hydrated.
