Harry Styles’ Meltdown Festival Lineup Features Diverse Genres, Disco Occasionally

“Every artist involved in this year’s Meltdown festival means so much to me, both as a fan and a musician,” singer says

Harry Styles, who will curate this year’s Meltdown Festival in London, has assembled a lineup that spans genres. Although the lengthy event, which will run at the Southbank Centre from June 11 to June 21, does not feature hard-rock hitmakers Kiss at all (let alone all the time), it does feature disco occasionally. Styles will perform a headlining set at the Royal Festival Hall on June 16, Rolling Stone UK reports. Details on tickets for his show have not yet been announced, but tickets for everything else go on sale Thursday.

“Music is my life; every artist involved in this year’s Meltdown festival means so much to me, both as a fan and a musician,” Styles said in a statement. “It’s a true honor to host legends who have paved the way for the generations that follow them, as well as new acts that have inspired me to push my creative boundaries.”

LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy will perform a DJ set, and electronic artist Jon Hopkins will perform a live set with multi-instrumentalist Maddie Ashman and composer Leo Abrahams. The Devonté Hynes Ensembled is slated to perform new compositions, while singer and composer Beverly Glenn-Copeland will perform with his wife and artistic partner Elizabeth.

Indie rockers Bar Italia and Warpaint are both scheduled, as are jazz musicians Mulatu Astatke and Kamasi Washington, the latter of whom will perform two sets (a tribute to Miles Davis and John Coltrane and selections from his own 2024 album, Fearless Movement). Other artists booked for the event include electronic artist Ninajirachi, singer-songwriter Stephen Fretwell, jazz composer Shabaka Hutchings, and trip-hop artist Erika de Casier.

Styles’ edition of the Meltdown Festival marks the 31st installment of the annual event. Previous programmers have included Robert Smith, David Byrne, Nick Cave, Scott Walker, and Patti Smith, among many others.
