Xavi Signs With Universal Music Publishing Group

The 22-year-old música mexicana artist Xavi has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), Billboard can announce exclusively on Thursday (June 25).

“Joining UMPG marks an exciting new chapter for me as a songwriter, and I’m ready to keep taking música mexicana to a global level,” said Xavi in a statement.

The deal follows the release of Xavi’s sophomore album, Dosis, which arrived on May 21. The project debuted at No. 40 on Billboard‘s Top Latin Albums chart and No. 18 on Top Regional Mexican Albums.

Xavi has been involved with numerous celebrations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in recent weeks, making an appearance at MexTour Live at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif., on May 30. He also collaborated with Carlos Vives, Wisin and Emilia for Telemundo’s official World Cup anthem, “Somos Más.”

At the moment, Xavi is on his X Tour across Mexico, with upcoming performances on the run set to take place on June 26 in Aguascalientes and on June 27 at Pachuca De Soto. Last winter, he embarked on a theater and amphitheater tour, which wrapped at Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on Jan. 30.

“Xavi is one of the most exciting and culturally significant young artists in music today,” said Alexandra Lioutikoff, president for Latin America & U.S. Latin at Universal Music Publishing Group. “His ability to honor the roots of Música Mexicana while pushing the genre forward with a fresh, global perspective makes him truly exceptional. We are thrilled to welcome Xavi to the UMPG family and look forward to supporting his continued growth as a songwriter and creative force.”
