Wolf Alice have dropped a huge hint that a new album could be on the way

Wolf Alice have dropped a huge hint that a new album could be about to land.

It comes after the band replied to a fan on X after they tweeted that they “had a dream last night that wolf alice announced their new album,” which prompted the group to reply: “Dream or vision?”

When fan account gherkin rowsell then tweeted: “Wolf Alice are BACK,” bassist Theo Ellis replied with an egg timer, as if to suggest the band are counting down to their new LP.

Wolf Alice are yet to officially post anything about an album release on their social media but they recently confirmed their return with a slot at Glastonbury 2025 alongside headliners Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo and acts including Charli XCX, Biffy Clyro and Noah Kahan from June 27 to 29.

They were also recently added to this year’s Radio 1 Big Weekend line-up, which is set to take place next month.

Wolf Alice last performed after wrapping up their ‘Blue Weekend’ tour in 2022 before playing an intimate charity show at London’s Sebright Arms the following September.

Following their confirmation at this year’s Glastonbury, many started speculating that new material was set to follow.

It comes just weeks after the band split from independent label Dirty Hit and signed with Columbia Records.

They released 2015’s ‘My Love Is Cool’, 2017’s Mercury Prize-winning ‘Visions Of A Life’ and 2021’s ‘Blue Weekend’ with their former label.

Last time they played Glastonbury in 2022, they almost didn’t make it after their flight from Los Angeles was cancelled the night before.

They eventually did manage to make to it to Worthy Farm “by the skin of their teeth” though with NME awarding their Pyramid Stage set five stars.

More recently Rowsell scored a new short film titled HERMIT, which stars Emma Corrin while the band also recently looked back at their breakthrough EP ‘Creature Songs’ – 10 years after its initial release.
