What Trends Did Paris Hilton Invent?

Billboard caught up with Paris Hilton, Lizzo, James Charles, Carmen Electra and more at the premiere of Paris Hilton’s new movie ‘Infinite Icon’ to find out what their favorite sayings are from the Y2K queen, what trends they think she started and more!

Paris Hilton:

I definitely invented Y2K fashion.

Narrator:

Ahead of Paris Hilton’s ‘Infinite Icon’ movie premiere, I scampered over to the pink carpet to hear from the queen of all icons, and those she’s inspired over her lifelong career. As a woman with “that’s hot” proudly tattooed on my leg, you can only imagine how excited I was to sing “Stars Are Blind” with my fellow sliving stans.

Lizzo:

Wow. Oh, this means something to you. Have you done your interview about Paris? You have a Paris Hilton tattoo.

Carmen Electra:

The most iconic trend, I would have to say, would be in the 2000s.

Harry Jowsey:

Y2K.

Paris Hilton:

I definitely invented Y2K fashion.

Carmen Electra:

You’re thinking of her wearing the Dior with the von Dutch, and it’s all mixed together.

BBNO$:

The whole color of pink is Paris Hilton. So I don’t really know how you can beat that purrr.

Lizzo:

We had to do pink for the princess.

Tiffany Haddish:

The best trend she started? It’s her perfumes. I love her perfume. I have every single one. She been making perfume for over 20 years.

Paris Hilton:

Understanding the power of building a personal brand and doing you know what people are doing now, but many years ago, always being ahead of my time.

James Charles:

Paris was the OG influencer. She came first. She walked so all of us could run.

Paris Hilton:

Just showing that you can be unapologetic and shine and sparkle and you don’t have to live inside a box. You can make your own box.

James Charles:

She really started all of that.

Keep watching for more!
