Watch Robbie Williams surprise fans by busking ‘Angels’ on streets of Seville

Robbie Williams surprised fans in Seville by joining a busker for an impromptu performance of ‘Angels’ – check out footage below.

The moment took place in the city’s Santa María la Blanca area, where Williams came across a street musician playing his 1997 hit.

Footage shared online shows Williams stepping up to the microphone and singing along, as passers-by excitedly gathered around to film the surprise performance on their phones.

The spontaneous street performance came ahead of Williams’ show at Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest, which took place in the city’s Plaza de España on June 30. Watch ‘Angels’ from the big stage here:

The Seville date formed part of his current ‘Long 90s’ world tour, which is in support of his latest album ‘BRITPOP’. Released in January, the record saw Williams surpass The Beatles to claim the record for the most UK Number One albums by a solo artist, with 16.

Williams’ current live run continues tonight (July 6) in Luxembourg, before upcoming shows around Europe, including Bilbao BBK Live, with dates to come in South America, Australia and New Zealand. Find any remaining tickets here.

Earlier this year, Williams teamed up with Reverend & The Makers on their introspective single ‘Fucked Up’, with frontman Jon McClure describing him as “the soundest fella in the music game”.

In April, Williams also responded to a social media critic who appeared not to know who The Lottery Winners frontman Thom Rylance was, describing the singer as “talented, kind, funny” and “the most important person I’ve met in the last 12 months”.

Elsewhere, Williams hit back at a “bully” podcaster who criticised him, writing: “I’m a real Redcoat. You’re a real bully. I know which one I’d rather be.”

In February, he led an Ozzy Osbourne tribute at the BRIT Awards, performing ‘No More Tears’ after the Black Sabbath icon was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.

Williams was also recently named Port Vale FC’s Foundation Ambassador and official front-of-shirt partner, with his ‘RW’ mark appearing on the club’s home and away shirts for the 2026/27 and 2027/28 seasons.

“It feels pretty incredible, to be honest. Robbie Williams, on the front of a Port Vale shirt. It’s a match made in heaven, for me,” he said.
