The nine-piece Iowa metallers have lifted the veil on their 25th anniversary ‘Slipknot’ reissue, which will come with a whopping 40 unreleased tracks, new artwork, demo and live recordings, previously unseen images from the band’s personal archives and more.
The reissue will be available both physically and digitally from September 25 onwards, and will come in several variations – you can pre-order your copy here.
They’ve also shared the previously unheard demo of ‘Prosthetics’, which here features minor variations to the track’s opening percussion, frontman Corey Taylor delivering his vocals with a less-harsh approach, and an extended breakdown that sees Taylor yelling additional lines.
Check out the demo version of ‘Prosthetics’ below.
The reissue will be offered in the following variations: 6LP Box Set with blood splattered vinyl that’s limited to just 1899 copies, red/black 2LP, and 2CD. Additionally, an exclusive orange 2LP will be available via their festival site, Knotfest.
While the full extent of the reissues depend on what variations fans purchase, each re-release will contain the original album.
The 6LP variation will include the original album, Indigo Ranch mixes, demos and alternative mixes, and live recordings from 1999 and 2000.

Speaking to NME back in December, percussionist and overall band mastermind Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan gave us an update on ‘Look Outside Your Window’, the long-awaited lost album from Slipknot. The album is expected to arrive sometime this year.
Slipknot’s Clown teased that the record is “not even close” to the band’s usual style, adding: “It was never a Slipknot album. Not while it was happening, not while I’ve held onto it for 10 years, and certainly not fuckin’ when it comes out.” So far, only one track from the album has been released: ‘All Hope Is Gone’ bonus track ‘Til We Die’.
Though the record has been slated for many years – including frontman Corey Taylor, Root and Clown all variously promising its release – Clown told us that the long-awaited LP was out of his hands and with management for the final steps.
“I’m really pleased about it and happy to finally be rid of it,” he said. “What’s nice though is that it isn’t a hype thing, it’s just something we did while we were doing other Slipknot albums. It was a very honest action to make music that wasn’t Slipknot, but utilised the skills of guys with no rules.”
As for new material, guitarist Jim Root in May said that he has completed “six arrangements” for a new album, despite previously claiming that he had “nearly zero inspiration”. The band have yet to release any new material since 2022’s ‘The End So Far’, though they teased a new song ‘Long May You Die’, recorded shortly after new drummer Eloy Casagrande joined Slipknot in early 2024. Nothing has come out of that tease so far.
