Selena Gomez Turns Her ‘Love On’ With Flirty New Single

The singer pays tribute to the City of Love in Paris-inspired video

Selena Gomez has Paris on her mind with new single “Love On.” This is Gomez’s first new song of 2024, further teasing a new album of music from the star.

Produced by the Monsters & Strangerz and Isaiah Tejada, “Love On” is a flirty track about new love, one that is specifically blossoming in Paris. At one point she poses: “Why are we conversing over this steak tartare/When we can be somewhere other than here making out in the back of a car?”

According to a statement, the song is inspired by Gomez’s recent experiences in the French city. The video also reflects her love of France.

Last month, she was confirmed to portray Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic; later this year, she will star alongside Zoe Saldana in the musical Emilia Perez, which was the project that brought Gomez to Paris in the first place.
