Ronnie Wood to support Eric Clapton at huge Sandringham summer 2026 show

The special guests joining Eric Clapton at his huge show at Sandringham this summer have been revealed, with Ronnie Wood among the artists joining him on the bill.

The gig was first announced in November as the first confirmed show for the 2026 The Sandringham Estate series. The summer event is set to kick off on August 20 and run for three days, with Clapton’s set scheduled for Sunday August 23.

Now, three supporting acts joining the guitar icon and former Cream member have been announced, including Ronnie Wood, who will be playing a rare solo show at the huge outdoor event.

The slot comes as Wood has had a solo career for years, which he has maintained alongside his time as part of Faces, The Jeff Beck Group, and The Rolling Stones. He shared his debut solo album ‘I’ve Got My Own Album to Do’ in 1974, and has continued to share solo music over the remaining years that blends together rock, blues, and boogie.

By playing at Sandringham this summer, fans are offered a rare opportunity to see Wood perform as a solo act, after a huge career of collaborating with names like Bob Dylan, David Bowie, and Aretha Franklin, and being inducted into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame twice.

Also joining Clapton on the bill is Andy Fairweather Low, who rose to prominence as the lead singer in Amen Corner in the ‘60s – a group best known for hit songs including ‘Bend Me Shape Me’, ‘Hello Suzy’, and ‘(If Paradise Is) Half as Nice’.

He has also gone on to work with huge names over the years including Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, The Who, BB King, Mary J. Blige, Kate Bush, and more.

As a solo artist, Fairweather Low has shared 10 records, with the latest being ‘The Invisible Bluesman’. Released in 2025, that record went straight to the top of the Official UK Jazz & Blues Albums Chart.

Finally, singer and harmonica player Will Wylde completes the line-up, having won the HRH ‘Lords Of Blues’ award in 2025 and previously being nominated for “Instrumentalist of the Year” and “Contemporary Blues Artist of the Year” in the UK Blues Awards.

He dropped his latest record, ‘Blues Is Still Alive’, last year, and it reached Number One on the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association Chart, and Number Five on the UK’s Official Jazz & Blues Album Chart.

The upcoming gig follows on the heels of Clapton heading out on a headline tour of the US last year in celebration of his latest album ‘Meanwhile’. Released in 2025, that was his 22nd studio album, and featured appearances from Jeff Beck, Van Morrison, Bradley Walker, Judith Hill, Daniel Santiago, and Simon Climie.

Before the US tour kicked off in September, MTV confirmed details of a feature-length special about the former Yardbird, titled Eric Clapton Unplugged… Over 30 Years Later.

The three-time Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame inductee also made a cameo alongside Shania Twain in Spinal Tap’s “final” concert movie, Stone Henge: The Final Finale.

As for Ronnie Wood, the rock icon recently looked back at how Jeff Beck suggested he take up the bass, and shared how he found a fan in Jimi Hendrix back in the ‘60s. It was also confirmed last year that The Rolling Stones have scrapped plans to head out on a UK and European stadium tour in 2026, due to Keith Richards being unable to “commit” to it.
