‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 4 Officially Has a Premiere Date

More murders in the building are are around the corner. Hulu’s popular series, Only Murders in the Building, will return for season four on August 27.

In the upcoming season, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) find themselves dealing with the aftermath of the shocking events surrounding Charles’ stunt double and friend Sazz Pataki at the end of season three. “Questioning whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, our trio’s investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about the Only Murders podcast,” the description of season four reads. “As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey — traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.”

According to VarietyOnly Murders is Hulu’s most-watched original comedy series to date, with the third season putting up the most-watched premiere day of any Hulu scripted original so far this year. Earlier this year, at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, Only Murders had been in the running for best comedy series, which ended up going to FX’s The Bear, and Short had been nominated for best actor in a comedy series, but Jeremy Allen White took the prize.

Before the premiere date, you can catch up on all three seasons of Only Murders in the Building on Hulu. Hulu starts at $7.99 per month, or $79.99 per year for the ad-supported plan, while you can go without ads for $17.99 per month.
