Megan Thee Stallion Will Keep Hip-Hop Python Era Going With New Single ‘Boa’

The record will appear on the rapper’s forthcoming studio album and follows the singles “Hiss” and “Cobra”

Megan Thee Stallion‘s hip-hop python era is in full swing. The rapper has announced her forthcoming single “Boa,” though a release date hasn’t yet been set. The record will follow up her previously released singles “Hiss” and “Cobra.”

Megan Thee Stallion shared the single artwork on Tuesday afternoon with a carousel of photos recreating video game covers with the song title.

The single will mark her first release since announcing her distribution and resources agreement with Warner Music Group in February. “This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter of my life and career,” Megan Thee Stallion shared in a statement at the time. “I’m really focused on building an empire and growing as an entrepreneur, so I’m proud to take this next step in my journey and work with Max Lousada and the entire Warner Music Group team in this new capacity. I know we’re going to create history together.”

In a few weeks, Megan Thee Stallion will embark on her Hot Girl Summer tour with Memphis rapper GloRilla. “HOTTIESSS, GET READY TO COME HAVE SOME FUN WITH ME AT THEE HOT GIRL SUMMER TOUR,” Megan Thee Stallion wrote on social media leading up to the announcement. “Get your outfits ready nowww! We getting started this MAY.”

The tour is being branded as “the hottest event of the summer,” but the rapper started turning up the heat weeks ago. Last month, her latest single, “Hiss,” reached Number One on the Billboard Hot 100. “Thank you to [everyone] that took the time out of their week to go hard and make this happen!” she wrote in a message to her fans. “I love you I appreciate you I’m so grateful.”
