With the success of the Superman reboot and the TV series Peacemaker and Creature Commandos, the latest entry in the DC Cinematic Universe from director/producer James Gunn is Lanterns, a new TV series that blends a gritty crime drama with the comic book sensibilities of Green Lantern.
Starting on Sunday (Aug. 16), Lanterns is available to watch on HBO, or stream on-demand on HBO Max.

When Does ‘Lanterns’ Air?
The series premiere airs starting on Sunday (Aug. 16), with a start time of 9 p.m. ET/PT, with new episodes of Lanterns broadcasting every Sunday until Oct. 4. There are eight episodes in total this season.

The TV series has music by Stephanie Economou, while it also stars Kelly Macdonald, Laura Linney, Garret Dillahunt, Jason Ritter, Poorna Jagannathan, Nathan Fillion and others.
