Hayley Williamsâ music taste is top-notch â and on Monday, she shared some of the albums that have been âkeeping [her] companyâ recently.
Among the albums on the Paramore frontwomanâs list were BeyoncĂ©âs Cowboy Carter and Taylor Swiftâs The Tortured Poets Department, both of which she had sweet things to share.
About Beyâs country LP, Williams wrote on Instagram stories: âI cry at the same part of âAmerican Requiem,â every time. Showed my mom and she got chills around the same time. When Beyonce sings, âIf you ainât got no grits get the fuck up out the south.’â
âI feel the kind of Southern pride that exists â subversively â amongst hatred and fear,â she added.
Williams also shouted out Swiftâs recently released 31-song LP as she celebrated being âtour-matesâ for the Eras Tour in Europe this summer.
âHad me from the storytelling alone, my friend,â she wrote about Swift. âEvery one of us knows this kind of grief! Itâs so impressive to me how specific and colorful Taylorâs words get without ever losing the universal thread.â
Williams also shouted out Brittany Howardâs What Now and said she just wants âto be Brittanyâs friend,â Rufus Wainwrightâs Want One for being âsweepy and droppy and chorus-line-y,â and Tierra Whackâs World Wide Whack for being her âgym album right now.â Her Instagram story included nods to Radioheadâs The Bends, The Smileâs Wall of Eyes, and Idlesâ Tangk, as well.

âRecord Store Day was this past weekend and being around people who enjoy music in its sexiest form was like being plugged directly into the sun,â she wrote.
