Gary Clark Jr. to Celebrate ‘JPEG RAW’ Release Day With Soho Sessions Stream

Gary Clark Jr. will celebrate the March 22 release of his new album JPEG RAW with a free stream that day of his private concert for the Soho Sessions.

The gig will be streamed exclusively via the Veeps platform on March 22. During the performance, fans and viewers will have the opportunity to donate to Music Will, which brings music education to over a million students who don’t currently have those programs in their local schools due to budget constraints.

“Singer, songwriter, guitar virtuoso Gary Clark Jr. is one of the most dynamic and transcendent artists in the world,” Soho Sessions co-founder Greg Williamson said in a statement.

“His sound refuses to be pigeonholed — an eclectic yet cohesive synthesis including deep blues, soul, hip hop, rock, and even jazz. Simply put, there is no one else like Gary Clark Jr. We are honored to have him as a part of this Soho Sessions — and particularly for a cause like Music Will that enables children across the United States to have greater access to music education in their schools.”

JPEG RAW is the follow-up to 2019’s This Land, which earned Clark Jr. three Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Song and Performance for the LP’s title track, along with Best Contemporary Blues Album.

Following the release of JPEG RAW on March 22, Clark Jr. will embark on a summer tour in support of the LP this May.
