All the time Justin Bieber has spent performing “Baby” since 2010 has led up to this moment of manifestation: the Biebers are pregnant. On Thursday afternoon, Justin and wife Hailey Bieber announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The musician announced the pregnancy on Instagram with a sweet video of the couple at Hailey’s maternity shoot. The model and Rhode Beauty-founder wore an off-the-shoulder, lace maxi dress for the occasion. In one image from the post, the pair are holding hands in front of an officiant reading from what looks like a bible. Justin and Hailey Bieber have been married since September 2018.

The news comes in the wake of a flurry of pregnancy rumors that Hailey, 27, has been at the center of for months. Last October, she addressed the recurring online conversation in an interview with GQ. “Recently, everybody was like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s pregnant,’ and that’s happened to me multiple times before,” she said. “There is something that’s disheartening about, ‘Damn, I can’t be bloated one time and not be pregnant?’”
Hailey added: “When there comes a day that that is true, you— you, as in the internet — will be the last to know.” That day has only just arrived, but she has been thinking about it for a while, describing it to GQ as “something that I look forward to. It’s also such a private, intimate thing. It’s something that’s going to come when it comes … Let me do what I want to do with my body and you guys can do what you want to do with your body — and let’s just let it be that.”
