The actor/singers who got wicked close while filming and then promoting the two blockbuster Wicked films performed the Wicked: For Good song “For Good,” in addition to their mash-up of “Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again” on Sunday. In an Instagram post on Monday (Aug. 17), London native Erivo said the reunion felt like coming home again.

“Ari, my sweet sister, my favorite person to sing with. Thank you for inviting me to share your stage, singing 2 songs that represent such a massive part of our lives,” Erivo wrote in the post that featured a carousel of images and videos, opening with the two women sharing a deep hug on stage, followed by a fan witnessing the superstar summit and promptly losing their damn mind while joking in the caption, “GLAD I KEPT MY COOL AND COLLECTED SELF WHEN CYNTHIA ERIVO CAME OUT.”

Erivo shared another fan clip highlighting the collective freak out, captioned, “they couldn’t even start because it was sooooo loud,” as well as one whose caption said it all: “This is like if Jesus brought out God to read the Bible but for musical theatre ppl or if Jude brought out Haaland and started making out with him for the football fans.”

Erivo’s message continued, “This is what we do it for, for the love of the work and for all of the fans. I missed this. We missed this. And I wish I had more words, but to put it simply, I will never forget this night. Like a handprint on my heart. All my love.”

The warmth and loving spirit carried on to Grande’s response in the comments, in which she wrote, “it’ll always come back to this… ♡ just as it started. i’m so grateful for this moment & for you… love you always. ♡ ♾️”

The rest of the clips featured more video of fans absolutely losing it, ending with a slide featuring an image from Sunday and a previous on-stage moment, both of which featured the women holding hands and smiling lovingly at each other.

Grande’s 10-night run at the O2 is slated to wrap up on Sept. 1.
