Kendrick Lamar and SZA will hit the road together next year, playing stadiums across North America on their “Grand National Tour.”
The trek will kick off April 19 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, continue through May, and wrap June 18 at Northwest Stadium in Washington D.C. Along the way, Lamar and SZA will stop in cities like Atlanta, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, and Detroit. They’ll also play two nights at MetLife Stadium outside New York City on May 8 and 9, and two nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on May 21 and 23.
Tickets will go on sale Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. local time via the Grand National Tour website. Cash App cardholders will have access to pre-sale tickets from Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. local time through Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. local time.
Lamar and SZA have been close friends and collaborators for years, though this is the first time they’ve ever toured together (Lamar did join SZA on stage at her two Coachella performances in 2016 and 2018). At the outset of her career, SZA signed with Lamar’s old label, Top Dawg Entertainment, and the two have frequently guested on each other’s tracks over the years. They scored a major hit in 2018 with “All the Stars” off Black Panther: The Album, the companion album to the film, which Lamar helmed. And most recently, SZA appeared on “Luther,” a standout track from Lamar’s surprise new album, GNX.
Lamar dropped GNX late last month, capping off a major year that was otherwise dominated by his Grammy-nominated smash “Not Like Us” (which landed at Number Two on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2024). SZA, meanwhile, released her most recent album, SOS, in 2022, and she’s been working on a new album called Lana, and recently said it could arrive this fall (though an exact release date still hasn’t been announced).
