Watch Young Thug Perform With Camila Cabello, Ty Dolla $ign at Coachella

Young Thug hit the Coachella stage on Sunday night for a set full of special guests, major genre-spanning songs, and some expert crowd work.

Camila Cabello made a special appearance to perform their smash “Havana.” It marked the first time Thug has played the record live since 2018. Cabello’s cameo came after Thug helped Ty Dolla $ign celebrate his birthday by popping onstage to perform “Carnival” before throwing it back to 2019 with “Check.” Later, NAV came by for “Trimski.”

The special guests were just part of an huge live show: Young Thug opened his set with a solo version of his Gunna collaboration “Ski,” followed immediately with his Travis Scott collaboration “Out West.” Drones lights lit up the sky as Thug performed in a dazzling jersey branded with the number 55. His set design bordered on apocalyptic, with meteors flying across the screen.

He kept the night going with the live debut of his Jamie xx and Popcaan collaboration, “I Know There’s Gonna Be Good Times.” Later, Thug shouted out Teyana Taylor, who he said was watching his set from the crowd, and also used the moment to ask why she’s been dodging his requests for her to style him. “They keep saying you rehearsing,” he said. “What you rehearsing for?”

Earlier this year, Young Thug announced that his next album would be titled DBC, or Day Before Coachella. As the weekend kicked off, the album appeared to no longer be part of his plan. DBC would have continued Young Thug’s yearly album streak, which kicked off with Business Is Business in 2023. Slime Season and Slime Season 2 both arrived in 2024, followed by UY SCUTI in 2025.

Each of these records kept fans updated on where Young Thug was operating musically in the respective moments in which they arrived, but UY SCUTI was the real comeback. The album marked his first drop since being released from prison, where he spent more than two years during the long-running YSL racketeering trial.

“I just feel big,” Young Thug told GQ in April 2025. “I feel like I’m one of the biggest stars … The judge was just like, ‘Yo, you got to realize who you are,’” he said. “My lawyer, Brian Steel, he always told me every day, like, ‘Bro, you got to know. You got to know.’ And then me just sitting in the cell every night alone, it was just kind of like, ‘I’m big.’”
