Niall Horan reveals fourth album is “done” and shares snippet of new music

Niall Horan has revealed that his fourth album is now “done” and has stared a snippet of new music with fans – check it out below.

The former One Direction band member shared a post on social media saying “album is done,” along with a short snippet of a song played on piano.

Earlier this month, Horan shared a new collaboration ‘Drive Safe’ before confirming work on his follow-up to 2023’s ‘The Show’ was now complete.

Horan earlier confirmed the news during the Hits Radio Breakfast Show with Fleur East, saying “I’m in here finishing it right now. So I’m in the beat lab,” he told them (via Music News).

“I’m just finishing off some vocal bits and things like that, that I wasn’t happy with, but yeah…I should have music sometime this year. And I’m very excited about it!”

It comes at a time when other former One Direction members are also releasing music and touring.

Harry Styles will share his fourth solo effort in ‘Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally’ on March 6. Recently, Styles also revealed that some fans will have a chance to hear it ahead of its release with a series of listening parties.

Fans across 40 cities will be given the chance to listen to new material, including his latest single ‘Aperture’, which features Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell and was inspired by LCD Soundsystem. In a review of the new track, NME said it was “Styles as we’d not heard him before”.

Last month, Styles also confirmed a huge, seven-city ‘Together, Together’ tour, which includes a 12-night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium and an impressive 30 dates at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The Wembley gigs will see the ‘As It Was’ singer donate £1 from every ticket sold to LIVE’s levy, helping to protect UK grassroots music venues and support emerging talent. You can visit here for any remaining UK tickets, and here to get international tickets.

After tickets went live, former bandmate Zayn Malik seemingly took a swipe at Styles by making a comment about ticket prices at a recent live show. “Hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high – just saying!” he grinned at his recent Vegas gig, before shrugging. “Anyway!…”

Many fans have interpreted the comment as a nod to the conversations around the ticket prices for Styles’ upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium.

It comes as Malik also announced a new album and his biggest solo tour to date, including a show at The O2 in London – buy tickets here.

The singer is set to play 31 dates on his ‘Konnakol’ world tour, taking in arenas and stadiums across the UK, North America and South America. The announcement arrived a day after he shared the news of his upcoming LP, also called ‘Konnakol’ while the lead single, ‘Die For Me’, was released on February 6.

Speaking about new album, ‘Konnokol’, Malik said: It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album…‘Konnakol’ in its definition is the act of creating percussive sounds with one’s voice but what it means to me lies somewhere much deeper.

“It is a sound that holds the reverberation of a time before words existed. I have always drawn on my heritage for inspiration since I first started making my own music – this album is a development of that understanding, knowing more now than ever, who I am, where I come from and where I intend to go.”

The album, the artist’s fifth, will be released on April 17 via Mercury Records/Island Records UK and can be pre-ordered here.
