Last month, the Queen of Pop announced that her new record ‘Confessions II’ would be released on July 3, marking the long-awaited sequel to her seminal 2005 album ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’.

She’s since officially shared her new single ‘I Feel So Free’ on major streaming platforms, after the song was given its debut on LGBTQ+ radio station Pride Radio, and recently unveiled a collaboration with Grindr as part of the album rollout.

Now, she’s shared ‘Bring Your Love’, the lead single from the new album that sees the two urge: “Ask yourself this/ What are you doing it for?/ Is it for you? Is it for them?”

The dance-floor filling track – produced by Madonna and Stuart Price – was premiered live during Madonna’s surprise Coachella appearance at Carpenter’s headline set, which saw the two perform ‘Vogue’ and ‘Like A Prayer’.

Launching her ‘Confessions II’ era at the Californian festival, Madonna told the crowd it felt like a full circle moment, given it was twenty years after she performed the first album in its dance tent.

“It was the first time I performed ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’ part one in America,” she told the crowd. “And that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket.”

After the performance, it emerged that items she donned on stage had gone missing, and she took to Instagram to offer a reward for the archival pieces.

Following her Coachella stop, she made made a surprise appearance at the LGBTQ+ club The Abbey in West Hollywood to debut new music last week at an invite-only event billed as ‘Club Confessions Los Angeles’.

Appearing at the DJ booth at around 1am, Madonna was joined by Price – who has produced both ‘Confessions’ albums – as well as Addison Rae, while Romy of The xx and Mez Monty also performed.

The new record marks Madonna’s first since her 14th album ‘Madame X’, which arrived in 2019. Around the time of that release, the ‘Like A Virgin’ singer spoke to NME about her relationship with being in the public eye.

“It has its pluses and minuses,” she revealed. “The great thing about being famous is that you have a voice and you can spread messages and fight for people who don’t have the ability to fight for themselves, and share your wealth with people who need help.”

She has been teasing the record since early last year, saying last February that she had been “putting my heart and soul” into it, while hinting at the ‘Confessions 2’ title when announcing she had re-signed with Warner Records last September.
