The Doncaster artist (real name Dominic Harrison) is set to hit the road in July for a brief run of dates dubbed ‘Idols – Up Close And Personal’, in partnership with local record stores. These will follow the release of ‘Idols’ – part one of his new double album – on June 20.
Harrison is scheduled to showcase the record at Kingston’s Pryzm (July 8) ahead of further small gigs at Dundee’s Live House (10), Liverpool’s Dome (11), Bristol’s Prospect Building (13) and Southampton’s Engine Rooms (15).
“‘Idols’ up close and intimate for the UK,” Yungblud wrote on social media. “I always love doing these shows. We will be playing songs off the new album stripped back and sharing stories about how the songs were made.”
He added: “We’re putting together something real special for you.”
Tickets are on sale now via various album/ticket-only bundles – you can buy yours here. Check out the announcement post and the full itinerary below.
Yungblud’s ‘Idols – Up Close And Personal’ 2025 UK tour dates are:
JULY
08 – Pryzm, Kingston
10 – Live House, Dundee
11 – The Dome, Liverpool
13 – The Prospect Building, Bristol
15 – Engine Rooms, Southampton
The trek will follow the second edition of Yungblud’s BludFest 2 in Milton Keynes on June 21, and come ahead of his ‘Idols’ headline tour dates in North America and Europe later this year.
Yungblud has already shared two singles from the forthcoming ‘Idols’ in the form of ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’ and ‘Lovesick Lullaby’. The record, said to be the star’s “most ambitious” release yet, follows his 2022 self-titled third album.
Last December, Yungblud exclusively revealed to NME that he had a “double album” on the way. “The new album centres around the idea of self-love and self-reclamation that allows people to feel seen, and emit this light,” he told us at the time.
“You can be seen for who you truly are, no matter where you’re from or what you believe… That’s what I needed to write an album about.”
In other news, Yungblud recently worked a shift at his favourite London pub, The Hawley Arms, where he pulled pints for fans to celebrate the release of his latest single.
Elsewhere, he opened up about an upcoming track called ‘Zombie’, which will see him tackle the topics of eating disorders and body dysmorphia. He debuted the song at an intimate gig in the capital in March.
Meanwhile, Yungblud has criticised the current cost of festival tickets, saying he “100 per cent” agrees that prices have “got out of hand”. He spoke about his vow to make BludFest 2 affordable for fans (£65), “because that’s the way it should be”.
“In this world, there is nothing you can’t achieve if you are doing it from a place of truth, and for the right reason,” Harrison said.
