Yung Lean turned 30 at Electric Castle 2026, turning his and Bladee’s joint set into a celebration. Scroll down to watch footage from the Romanian festival now.

The Swedish duo appeared together on the festival’s Hangar stage and performed tracks from their 2024 album ‘Psykos’. During Bladee’s solo section he told the packed out crowd about his collaborator’s big day, saying: “Give it up for Yung Lean. Today is a very special day. He’s turning 30.”
When Yung Lean returned to the stage for his solo segment he thanked the crowd for spending his birthday with him. “It’s good to be here in Romania on my birthday,” he said. “I was born on July 18 1996. I turn 30 today. My life has been crazy and beautiful. This is insane. Thank you”
Yung Lean and Bladee were joined on the third day of the festival, which is held in the grounds of Banffy Castle in Bonţida, by headliners Nothing But Thieves and Chase & Status. Both artists shared new, unreleased music during their sets alongside crowd-pleasing hits. Earlier in the day there were performances from British punk band Kid Kapichi plus Moldova’s The Motans and the Brooklyn-based LP.
Covering day two of Electric Castle 2026, NME wrote: “To say that the crowd gathered before the Hangar stage in the minutes leading up to Yung Lean and Bladee’s joint set was excited would be an understatement. Each time their names flash across the screen, they erupt into cheers, impatient to bear witness to a rare convergence of two of Sweden’s most influential rappers. When the experimental cloud rap pioneers arrive, they burst into their 2024 collaboration ‘I Don’t Like People’ as flames erupt from the stage in time with the bass, which seems to make the entire site tremble.”
Yung Lean and Bladee have released two collaborative projects: ‘Psykos’ and 2025 EP ‘Evil World’. In May of this year Bladee shared his latest album ‘Sulfur Surfer’. Yung Lean’s most recent solo effort, ‘Jonatan’, dropped last year.
Electric Castle 2026 takes place from July 16-20 with sets still to come from Just Mustard, Keanu Reeves’ Dogstar, and headliners The Cure.
