Young Thug Will Play First Show Since Jail Release at 2025 Summer Smash

Young Thug‘s first performance after being released from behind bars is coming this summer. On Thursday, Lyrical Lemonade announced that Thug will co-headline Summer Smash Festival with Don Toliver x Yeat, and Future this year. The festival is scheduled for June 20-22 in the Chicago area.

The headlining performance from Thug will come nearly nine months after he was released from jail last October. The rapper pleaded out of his long-running racketeering conspiracy case Thursday and was sentenced on the spot to time served, 15 years of probation, and a “backloaded” sentence of 20 years that only kicks in if he violates probation.

Thug will headline Sunday night’s edition of Summer Smash, which will see Lil Yachty, Quavo, Nav, G Herbo, Insane Clown Posse, Lil Tracy, Skaiwater, and Bktherula hit the stage. aswell. Chance the Rapper will also be performing a special set Sunday night.

Friday’s lineup, headlined by Don and Yeat’s newly formed duo, will see performances by Trippie Redd, Ski Mask the Slump God, NLE Choppa, Young Nudy, Nettspend, DC the Don, and Molly Santana. Saturday’s edition will see Sexyy Red, Lil Tecca, Destroy Lonely, Sahbabi, Soulja Boy, and BabyTron perform.

The festival will be divided into three stages at Seatgeek Stadium and tickets will be released for purchase on Friday, March 28 at 12 p.m. CT, with general admission entry starting at $370. “I feel lucky to be able to throw the party of the year with my best friends,” said Cole Bennett, Summer Smash Festival co-founder, in a press release. “May this be the best one yet. Lucky No. 7.”

Last year’s edition was headlined by Cactus Jack, Playboi Carti, and Chief Keef while the 2023 edition saw Kid Cudi, Future, and Playboi Carti.
