Young Thug Apologizes for Leaked Jail Calls: ‘I’m Sorry This Is Happening and I Hope U Guys Can Forgive Me’

Young Thug continues to deal with the fallout around a string of jail phone calls and interrogation room interviews that have been posted online in recent weeks.

The embattled rapper took to X over the weekend and tweeted out an apology to the people that were mentioned, and asked for forgiveness. “To everyone involved in this situation,” he wrote. “I’m sorry this is happening and I hope u guys can forgive me, I’m moving forward with my life -THANK U GOD.”

He later added, “Times like these is when my luvs ones are supposed to look at the good I did towards them then the ugly.”

Thugger also addressed his girlfriend Mariah the Scientist and apologized for some of the calls that leaked where it sounds like he was talking to other women. “My baby, I was wrong and I’m sorry for what I put u through,” the Atlanta rapper tweeted. “U deserved better from me. Thank you for everything and I will do anything to make this work. U showed me what love is and I hope I haven’t lost u forever… everybody leave her out of this please she’s an innocent girl and feels bad about all of this. Please give her peace.”

Last week, Thug apologized to GloRilla on X for commenting on her looks in a leaked jail call.

“First of all, I’m sorry to u for my words and I honestly don’t think ur ugly at all,” he told Glo. “I was speaking from jail just having a hard time with life.. I don’t like bashing girls and hardly ever did.. I’m sorry to u twin.”

He also commented on the social media pages that have been making his jail calls public, tweeting out, “Bashing me only goin f— that rap community up more, I’m the blue to this fake a– game.”

Over the weekend, he sat down with the Perspektives With Big Bank podcast for a three hour conversation where he talked about the difference between the plea deal he took at the end of the trial and Gunna’s decision to take a plea deal earlier in the process, his current relationship with Gunna, and gave an update on his upcoming album UY SCUTI.
