Young Thug has reunited with Future for a new song, “Money on Money,” as the rapper gears up to release his first new album in two years, Uy Scuti.
The track marks Thug’s first proper solo single since his release from jail last year, though he has guested on tracks by Lil Baby and Playboi Carti. “Money on Money,” in that sense, is a stomping return with lines like, “Blowing money fast like a fucking cheetah/I been in the trenches filled with hyenas/Bugatti Spyder, whipping that bitch from the side.”
“Money on Money” also arrives with a music video, directed by Kaito and Brendan O’Connor, that finds Young Thug and Future tearing around a dockyard that’s been turned into a makeshift racetrack in some seriously souped-up stock cars.
“Money on Money” is expected to appear on Uy Scutti, though an official track list hasn’t been revealed yet. Young Thug also hasn’t shared a release date for the album, though it’s slated to arrive in the summer. Uy Scuti takes its name from a red supergiant star 5,900 light years away that’s often called the biggest known star in the universe.
The rapper began teasing the album a little over a month ago. In March, he showed up at a Miami Heat game with a custom jersey emblazoned with “Uy Scuti.” Then, in the lead up to Coachella, a billboard was spotted near the festival grounds that stated: “Universe has been too quiet. Until now. Uy Scuti.”

Uy Scuti will mark Young Thug’s first new album since 2023’s Business Is Business, which was released while Young Thug was still in jail and on trial for RICO Act violation charges. The rapper was arrested in May 2022 and pleaded out of the case last fall; he was sentenced to 15 years of probation and a “backloaded” consecutive sentence of 20 years if he violates his probation.
Young Thug has a handful of festival performances scheduled for this summer, though as of right now, his only U.S. date is June 22 at Chicago’s Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash Festival. Otherwise, he’s set to perform around Europe in July, though additional dates are expected to be announced soon.
