Willie Nelson’s 2026 Farm Aid: Best Moments From Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews & More

Since 1985, the festival has brought a simple message to the nation’s struggling family farmers: you are not alone.

On a weekend that saw a storming Nor’easter shut down major music events throughout the New York region, some 300 miles south, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Farm Aid went forward Saturday (Sept. 26), supporting the men and women who grow the nation’s food.

Mother Nature wouldn’t dare mess with Willie Nelson.

In its 41st year, Farm Aid is the longest running concert for a cause. Since 1985, the festival launched by Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young — and now boasting Dave Matthews, Margo Price and Nathaniel Rateliff on its board — has raised $90 million to promote a strong and resilient family farm system of agriculture.

“Farmers are the soul of America,” declared Young at the press event which preceded the concert staged at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater. “They are on the front lines.”

At a time when farmers are confronting higher diesel and fertilizer costs caused by the war against Iran, federal agent raids on their immigrant labor force, claims on their land by data center developers, severe weather from inaction on climate change, Young called for action.

“Vote for change,” he said. “Vote for what we need, what our families need, what our children need!”

Here are the best moments from every act on the star-studded Farm Aid bill Saturday.
