The White House has shared a new video on TikTok set to Taylor Swift‘s ‘The Fate Of Ophelia’.

The clip includes shots of the United States army, navy and airforce, as well as pictures of Donald Trump, JD Vance and the White House. The video is set to the chorus of the ‘Life Of A Showgirl’ track.
Pictures of Trump and Vance flash across the screen as Swift sings “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team“, and switches to their wives Melania and Usha when Swift sings “your vibes“.
Later on in the video, Donald Trump’s mugshot is set to the lyrics “don’t care where the hell you’ve been“. Watch the clip below.

When approached for comment by Variety, a representative for the White House said: “We made this video because we knew fake news media brands like Variety would breathlessly amplify them. Congrats, you got played.”
Taylor Swift has yet to address the clip, though fans have commented on the post voicing their hopes that Swift and her team will find a way to sue the White House.
The White House’s use of Swift’s music comes after the President launched a public beef with the ‘All Too Well’ singer last year after Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, when she said “we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos”.
Trump then declared that he “hates” her, and suggested that Swift will “probably pay a price” for his support of Harris. In June 2024, he took a moment to comment on Swift’s appearance in the upcoming book titled Apprentice In Wonderland: How Donald Trump And Mark Burnett Took America Through The Looking Glass, calling her “unusually beautiful” and also questioned whether her political stance is “just an act”.
Earlier this year, Trump trolled her for being booed at the Super Bowl, which he said meant “the world is healing”.
Just minutes after Swift announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, Trump sent his regards to the couple during a cabinet meeting at the White House: “Well, I wish them a lot of luck. I think he’s a great player, I think he’s a great guy, and she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.”
