Wet Leg tease two UK concerts under the pseudonym Uma Thurman

Wet Leg look set to play two UK concerts in Brighton and London.

The Isle Of Wight band appear to be playing at the Green Door Store in Brighton tonight (March 23) and at the Moth Club in the capital tomorrow (March 24) under the pseudonym Uma Thurman, although they joked that the real actor “will not be in attendance”.

Though initially announced without revealing the band’s identity, Wet Leg later appeared to confirm their involvement by sharing a “first come first served” link to the Moth Club date via their their social media accounts, which has since been deleted.

Links to both shows are also still appearing at both venues although tonight’s concert has already sold out while the Moth Club gig currently has a waiting list, which you can access here.

It comes after the band shared their return earlier this week and a 30-second teaser of their first new music in three years.

They then announced plans to kick off their new era with two shows in New York and Los Angeles at the Market Hotel in Brooklyn on March 31 and The River in LA on April 8.

Posting on Instagram they wrote: “Hey there neighbor been a while hasn’t it? why dont u come on down to the bottom of our garden? its about time we had ourselves a little gathering…just a couple of special nights in NYC 🇺🇸and LA 🇺🇸.”

Wet Leg are inviting fans to a pre-sale on March 28, which they can sign up for here.

The band’s last release was their 2022 self-titled debut LP. It earned them two Grammy Awards, for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance, while in 2023, they also won the BRIT Award for Best British Group.

The record received a glowing five-star review from NME‘s Rhian Daly, who wrote: “Wet Leg began life while Teasdale and Chambers were riding a Ferris wheel at a festival, where the pair decided to give music another chance; fittingly, their debut album feels like a giddy race around a funfair, those pesky lows batted away with wit and wisecracks like a game of verbal whack-a-mole.”

Elsewhere, Wet Leg are set to perform at a handful of festivals including Glastonbury, Green Man, Shaky Knees Festival, Roskilde Festival, Wilderness Festival, Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool, TRNSMT 2025, Boardmasters, All Together Now Festival and Øya Festival.
