In 2024, The Weeknd – real name Abel Tesfaye – shattered Spotify records when he became the most-awarded Billions Club musician in history. To become a member of the coveted Billions Club, a musician has to earn a billion Spotify streams on a singular song. Tesfaye is far in the lead, with a whopping 25 songs that have crossed the billion mark.

To celebrate the achievement, The Weeknd and Spotify teamed up for the first-ever Billions Club Live invite-only concert in December, which took place at an old hangar in California. Last night (January 7), the full performance was released as a concert film via Spotify.

You can watch the performance in full below.

During the concert, The Weeknd performed a collection of his biggest hits, as well has his newest released to build up to his upcoming record ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’. Among the songs her performed were ‘I Feel It Coming’, ‘Call Out My Name’, ‘Starboy’, ‘Blinding Lights’ and more.

The Weeknd’s Billions Club Live setlist was:

‘Call Out My Name’
‘Moth To A Flame’
‘After Hours’
‘Lost in The Fire’
‘Creepin”
‘Popular’
‘Starboy’
‘Heartless’
‘Reminder’
‘Stargirl Interlude’
‘One Of The Girls’
‘The Hills’
‘Often’
‘I Was Never There’
‘Wicked Games’
‘Earned It’
‘Die For You’
‘I Feel It Coming’
‘Can’t Feel My Face’
‘Save Your Tears’
‘Blinding Lights’
‘In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song)’ (Peter Ivers and David Lynch cover)
‘Timeless’
‘São Paulo’

Set for release on January 24, 2025, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ will serve as the final instalment of the ‘Blinding Lights’ singer’s album trilogy, following 2020’s ‘After Hours‘ and ‘Dawn FM‘.

The musician had shared teasers of the album in the form of his previous collab with Playboi Carti, ‘Timeless’, which was co-produced by Pharrell, and another new track called ‘Dancing In The Flames’ which arrived back in September. He also previewed various unreleased songs recently, including ‘Wake Me Up’, ‘Take Me Back To LA’ and ‘Open Hearts’.

Tesfaye also shared the album’s cover on his social media. The artwork features a simple close-up shot of his face, a departure from the facial prosthetics seen in his ‘After Hours’ era. ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ is available for pre-order here. The album is available in exclusive vinyl, box sets, and signed CDs.

The album will also be accompanied by a film of the same name, which will star The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. It has been described as “an extension” of the album, and will arrive in May.

The ‘Save Your Tears’ singer also announced that he will be performing a massive one-night-only live stadium show at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, on Saturday (January 25 2025) which will see him debut a never-before-seen production. The stage will take over the entire floor of the stadium, for a must-see in-the-round experience. Visit here to purchase tickets.
