The moment took place during the surprise songs portion of the show, during the record-breaking tour‘s stop in Toronto on Thursday (November 21).

Swift and Jonas dated between July and October of 2008, before the relationship ended via a brief phone call – something Swift subsequently mocked during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that year.

Since, fans have speculated that a portion of her 2008 album ‘Fearless’ was inspired by Jonas, including ‘Forever & Always’ and the recently-released Taylor’s Version from the vault track, ‘Mr. Perfectly Fine’. It’s also widely believed that the ‘Speak Now’ song ‘Better Than Revenge‘ is about Jonas.

On Thursday, Swift surprised the audience with an acoustic mash-up of ‘Mr. Perfectly Fine’ and ‘Better Than Revenge’. Fans on social media have since reacted, with one asking “Is Joe Jonas OK?”

Check out the moment, and some fan reactions, below.

Following Swift and Jonas’s brief relationship, they seemed to reconcile as friends when Jonas married Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner.

Turner and Jonas officially confirmed their separation on September 6 on Instagram, where they described it as a “united decision”. After their divorce announcement, Swift was seen on a night out with the Game Of Thrones actor and reportedly temporarily allowed Turner and her two daughters to live in her New York apartment while they ironed out custody arrangements.

In other news, Swift picked up a total of six Grammy nominations this time around, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year, for which she gave all the credit to her fans at a previous Toronto show.

NME caught the first UK stop on the Eras tour in June, awarding the show a full five stars: “Despite being an arena show, in a huge, cavernous venue, Swift and her fans have managed to cultivate a community. Strangers swap friendship bracelets, laugh and cry together, and embrace the tour’s in-jokes and lore (for example shouting “one, two, three, let’s go bitch” during ‘Delicate’).

“It’s the power of Swift, an artist who’s inspired not only the renaming of a Scottish Loch, but also countless fans to come out and embrace being a part of the Eras family. With The Eras Tour, then, Swift’s managed to craft a marvel of a show that comes with a beating heart.”
