Watch Shania Twain join Sabrina Carpenter for ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ at Austin City Limits

Sabrina Carpenter was joined by Shania Twain during Austin City Limits for a version of ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ – watch below.

The singer was headlining the first weekend of the festival at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas on Saturday night (October 4), and to round out her set, she welcomed the Canadian country-pop star for a duet of her 1998 hit.

Introducing her guest, Carpenter told the crowd: “I thought it’d be fun to give you guys a little gift tonight, give you a little present, because you all showed up and showed out for all of us. Austin, will you please make the most noise in the world for the incredible, one and only Shania Twain!”

Twain also appeared alongside Carpenter during A Nonsense Christmas With Sabrina Carpenter, her one-off special for Netflix last Christmas. She sang ‘Santa Baby’ with Carpenter, and later said she had “spent the entire shoot laughing”.

Carpenter is gearing up for the second North American leg of the ‘Short n’ Sweet’ tour in late October, which will mark her first time back on the road since sharing the latest record, ‘Man’s Best Friend’.

That record scored a four-star review from NME, with Nick Levine writing: “Musically, this album isn’t markedly different from its predecessor, though it has a few more country-leaning cuts sprinkled among the daytime disco and featherlight funk.

“It also sticks to Carpenter’s winning formula of pairing sticky melodies with pithy lyrics about the flaws and allure of inadequate males. If there were a Bechdel Test for pop albums, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ wouldn’t be in danger of passing it.”

In other news, Carpenter is set to host Saturday Night Live for the first time ever. She will pull double duty on the third episode of the new season on October 18 and it follows on from her appearance on the show’s 50th anniversary celebrations back in February, where she appeared in a sketch singing an off-key version of ‘Espresso’.

Meanwhile, Carpenter was announced as one of the headliners of next year’s Coachella alongside Justin Bieber and Karol G.

She is also the only featured artist on Taylor Swift’s new album ‘The Life Of A Showgirl’, singing on the record’s title track.
