During her set at the San Francisco festival on Saturday night (August 10), the ‘Espresso’ singer teased the crowd with her guest, saying: “She won’t come out though, unless you’re very loud.”

She introduced the ‘Slow Burn’ singer by instructing: “Bay Area, please make some noise for the one and only Kacey Musgraves,” before the two launched into a cover of Nancy Sinatra’s ‘These Boots Are Made For Walkin”, complete with Carpenter on tambourine.

Elsewhere in her set, she donned a sash that read: ‘I’m headlining bitch’, and did a medieval-inspired ‘Nonsense’ outro, read out from a scroll: “Soon cometh my album so exciting / My heart doth pound beneath my breasts so mighty / Outside Lands it’s like thou art inside me.”

Her upcoming album, ‘Short N’ Sweet’, was announced in June, and is set for release on August 23 via Island Records and can be pre-ordered / pre-saved here.

She played one of the new tracks from the album, ‘Slim Pickins’ during her set, after recently debuting it with Jack Antonoff during a performance at the Grammy Museum.
