Watch Sabrina Carpenter bring out Duran Duran for ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’ at BST Hyde Park

Sabrina Carpenter has brought out Duran Duran for ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’ at her second BST Hyde Park concert – check out footage below.

Last night (July 6), Sabrina Carpenter performed her second headlining show at BST Hyde Park, where she surprised attendees with a performance of ‘Hungry Like The Wolf’ with icons Duran Duran.

The moment took place nine songs into her setlist. Introducing the band, Carpenter said as Simon Le Bon and John Taylor joined her onstage: “I also thought it might be fun if I brought out some friends of mine from the U.K. I’m going to need you guys to put that howling to good use. But everybody please give it up and make so much noise for the legendary Duran Duran!”

Elsewhere at her two BST Hyde Park dates, Sabrina Carpenter was joined by Clairo on both nights, while Beabadoobee performed on July 5 and Olivia Dean played on the 6th.

Other acts headlining BST Hyde Park this year include Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo (who brought out Ed Sheeran as a special guest), Stevie Wonder, Zach Bryan, Noah Kahan (who brought out Lewis Capaldi) and Jeff Lynne’s ELO. You can find any remaining tickets here.

In February, Hugh Jackman cancelled his scheduled bill-topping performance at the summer series “due to an unforeseen conflict in [his] schedule”. The actor and singer said he was “deeply disappointed” to do so.

In other news, Carpenter has shared an alternate album cover “approved by God” for her new album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ following accusations of sexism over the album’s original artwork. The album, due to arrive in late August, features a cover with the singer kneeling on the floor, as an unidentified person stands beside her and pulls on her hair.

Some have criticised the cover as leaning on “tired tropes that reduce women to pets”, and Carpenter has responded saying: “I can not give a fuck about it”. The new cover sees her clutching a man’s arm instead.

Sabrina Carpenter’s previous album ‘Short n’ Sweet’ scored a four-star review from NME, with Rhian Daly writing: “For the most part, who Sabrina Carpenter is has never been clearer – and her long-awaited, hard-earned climb to pop’s summit should continue with ease.”
