Carpenter appeared alongside her collaborator Antonoff on Friday (August 2) at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater in Los Angeles on August 2 for a moderated discussion and performance.

She surprised fans by playing the unreleased track, which comes off her upcoming album, ‘Short n’ Sweet’.

Fan-shot footage from the evening shows the ‘Feather’ singer telling the crowd: “This one’s cute and I just like, wanted to sing it for you today. Super random of me, so, it’s called ‘Slim Pickins’ and I hope you like it.”

Carpenter, who also performed ‘Please Please Please’ and ‘Espresso’ with support from Antonoff, announced in June that her sixth studio album was set for release later this month, and would be followed by a ‘Short n’ Sweet’ tour. Find the dates below and buy tickets here.
