Rilo Kiley have reunited for their first show in 17 years. Check out footage and the full setlist below.
It comes as the band kicked off their run of US live shows earlier this year – marking their first full tour dates since 2008.
Taking place at the Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, California, the gig was held on Monday (May 5) and saw the members break out a huge list of classic tracks.
Comprising 18 songs, the setlist kicked off with an opening rendition of ‘The Execution of All Things’, which was shared as part of their 2002 album of the same name, before continuing with ‘Wires And Waves’, ‘Silver Lining’, ‘Spectacular Views’ and ‘The Moneymaker’. The latter two are taken from their final album ‘Under The Blacklight’.
More tracks included cuts from across their four studio albums, including early songs like ‘A Better Son/Daughter’ and ‘With Arms Outstretched’, through to more recent songs like ‘It’s A Hit’.
Three songs were featured in the encore: ‘A Man/Me/Then Jim’, ‘The Frug’ and ‘Pictures of Success’. Check out footage and the setlist below.
@hbombdotcomw I never thought I’d see this again. I saw their last tour in 2008 at the House of Blues in Cleveland. Such an incredible reunion. #rilokiley

News of the tour came in February, and followed news that the indie band were going to play their first official shows since 2021 at the Just Like Heaven festival in Pasadena. A billboard in January was seen in Echo Park and revealed Rilo Kiley be taking to the stage there alongside Vampire Weekend, Empire of the Sun, Bloc Party, and the recently reformed TV on the Radio.
The gigs mark their first shows together since a one-off performance in 2021, when Lewis and lead guitarist Blake Sennett briefly reunited for Linda Perry’s Rock-N-Relief livestream benefit.
News of the comeback comes as Jenny Lewis told NME in 2019 that she was open to getting the band back together. Then, in 2023 the singer also spoke to NME again about the prospect of a Rilo Kiley reunion, dismissing immediate hopes by saying: “I’ve got a lot on my plate […] We’re not talking about it, but it’s not off the table.”
Although live shows have been few and far between since 2011, Rilo Kiley did reissue their 1999 self-titled debut album in 2020 and made it available on streaming services for the first time.
