Rex Orange County performed with Tyler, The Creator and Turnstile‘s Brendan Yates in London. Watch below.
The British singer-songwriter, real name Alexander James O’Connor, performed an underplay show at Village Underground on Thursday (August 27), where he brought out Yates as a surprise guest.
They performed an unreleased track, ‘Elvis’, which begins with a simple guitar riff and gradually builds with cinematic string arrangements and touches of flute.
“I’m not too calm I shake my legs like I’m Elvis/I wanna be your only friend cause I’m selfish/I wanna stay here forever like its Vegas/Theres no-one else I wanna share this hotel with,” he sings. Yates then took over for the final verse.
The Village Underground gig served as a warm-up performance for Tyler, The Creator’s All Points East takeover in London on Friday, which also saw the rapper joined by Turnstile, Mariah The Scientist, Clipse, Sexyy Red, Ravyn Lenae, Fakemink and Vince Staples.
Following his own set earlier in the day, Rex Orange County then appeared onstage during Tyler’s headline performance, with the two joining forces to perform ‘Boredom’, their collaboration from Tyler’s 2017 album ‘Flower Boy’. You can watch both moments below.

Night two of Tyler’s All Points East takeover, which took place yesterday (August 29) saw him joined by Daniel Caesar, Baby Keem, Dijon, Ghostface Killah, Syd, Faye Webster, Danny Brown, Jim Legxacy.
Elsewhere at the festival, Turnstile brought out Faye Webster for ‘I Care’ during their own set.
The appearance coincided with the release of the band’s reimagined album ‘Never Enough: Versions’, on which Webster’s reworked version of ‘I Care’ appears.
In other news, earlier this month, Rex Orange County released the introspective new single ‘Indecision’, which saw him join forces with Daniel Caesar.
