Watch Radiohead play ‘Kid A’ and ‘Talk Show Host’ for first time on 2026 European comeback tour

Radiohead dusted off ‘Kid A’ and ‘Talk Show Host’ as their 2026 European comeback tour continued in Bologna, Italy, last night (Monday November 17). Watch footage and see the setlist below.

Thom Yorke and co. played a 25-song set at the Unipol Arena for the third of four scheduled gigs at the venue, according to Setlist.FM.

Early on in the show, the band played the title track from their 2000 fourth album ‘Kid A’, marking its first outing on the current tour. It is reported that ‘Idioteque’ from the same record had been listed as an alternate on the printed setlist in this slot.

Later, Radiohead gave ‘Talk Show Host’ its tour debut. The track was released as a B-side to 1996’s ‘Street Spirit (Fade Out)’ from second album ‘The Bends’.

In response to Radiohead playing ‘Kid A’ and ‘Talk Show Host’, a fan commented on YouTube: “Was waiting for this one and ‘TSH’ since the first show. Thom doesn’t play that little synth he usually does on ‘Kid A’ this time.”

Another person wrote: “No fricking way they did ‘Talk Show Host’. Goated.” Someone else said: “DAMN THIS IS THE RAREST THEY’VE PLAYED OMGGG.” Elsewhere, a user added: “We need more B-sides from ‘The Bends’ performed.”

Radiohead are taking a “busking approach” to their current setlists, by playing “any order” of songs they wish, and whittling down their huge catalogue to “about 70 songs”. The band are also performing in the round in the centre of the venue throughout the run of dates.

Bassist Colin Greenwood explained in a recent interview: “It’s going to be the first time I think we’ve done shows where we haven’t got new material to play as work in progress.”

However, the musician then mysteriously teased: “But you never know, some stuff might come up or not or whatever.”

Radiohead’s tour continues with a fourth and final night in Bologna today (Tuesday November 18), before they head to London, Copenhagen and Berlin later this month and into December.

In other news, Radiohead unveiled a new line of merch ahead of their European comeback trek kicking off earlier this month.

Radiohead released their ninth and latest studio album, ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’, in 2016. Late last year, Jonny Greenwood told NME about the band’s “fun and natural” rehearsals, but said there were “no plans” for new music. “We’ve [got] lots of individual projects going on at the moment,” he continued.

Frontman Yorke, meanwhile, said around the same time that he “really doesn’t give a fuck” if fans wanted Radiohead to return. The singer, who has been busy with The Smile in recent years, admitted in August that he was “still struggling” to be creative following the COVID-19 pandemic. He was speaking upon the launch of Radiohead’s new exhibition, ‘This Is What You Get’.
