Watch official footage of Charli XCX performing ‘Cherry Blossom Girl’ with Air in Paris

Official footage of Charli XCX performing ‘Cherry Blossom Girl’ with Air in Paris has now been released.

The ‘360’ singer joined the Versailles duo as a surprise guest on stage at We Love Green Festival on Sunday (June 8). There, she performed ‘Cherry Blossom Girl’ from their 2004 album ‘Walkie Talkie’ against a bright ‘Brat’ green backdrop.

It comes after Charli shared her Spotify Wrapped stats in December, revealing that Air were her second-most listened to artist of 2024. She later called it a “dream come true” to duet with the band.

Now, the band have uploaded the full performance to YouTube, with Air commenting on social media: “Charli Blossom Girl 💚 Thank you for joining us!”

Charli is soon to take over Victoria Park for an all-day festival curated by the musician herself. ‘Party Girl’ will arrive on June 14, and will feature Bladee, The Japanese House, The Dare, 070 Shake, Kelly Lee Owens, A. G. Cook and more.

‘Party Girl’ is part of LIDO, a new festival first announced in October. It is run by AEG Presents, who also organise All Points East, BST Hyde Park and Forwards.

Representatives have said they are looking to “showcase the most current headliners and work closely with them to curate the line-ups, reflecting their own musical passions, with a strong focus on emerging artists.”

Massive Attack and Jamie xx held their own festival with LIDO last weekend (June 6 and 7), while Outbreak Festival is soon to come to London for the first time on June 13. Turnstile is set to headline as their only UK show, and London Grammar will round off the festival on June 15.

As for Air, in April VEGYN released a reimagining of their iconic 1998 album ‘Moon Safari’.

The original ‘Moon Safari’ became known for its dreamy synths, groovy bass lines, and rich melodies – cementing itself as a melodic, ambient-pop classic. VEGYN’s version of the AIR album will add experimental soundscaping, along with an energised lease of life.

In other news, Marina Diamandis has said her feud with Charli XCX is over and that she “fully deserves” her ‘Brat’ success.
