The boygenius artist took to X/Twitter to ask fans attending the Montréal festival – where she also performed a solo set earlier in the day – to share footage of the moment, writing: “Who… has a video of me singing with the killers tonight (I’m dead).”

Many happily obliged, sharing clips of the moment she joined Brandon Flowers and co. on stage for the 2006 track, which came toward the end of a set that included fan favourites ‘Mr. Brightside’, ‘Smile Like You Mean It’ and ‘Spaceman’.

The Killers at Osheaga Festival played:

‘Mr. Brightside’
‘Spaceman’
‘Jenny Was a Friend of Mine’
‘Smile Like You Mean It’
‘Shot at the Night’
‘Running Towards a Place’
‘Somebody Told Me’
‘Human’
‘boy’
‘A Dustland Fairytale’
‘Runaways’
‘Read My Mind’ (with Lucy Dacus)
‘Caution’
‘When You Were Young’

Encore:
‘The Man’
‘Bones’
‘All These Things That I’ve Done’

Back in May, Flowers spoke to NME about his plans for new solo albums and what to expect next from The Killers – as well as opening up about the power of Bruce Springsteen and Oasis.

As for his solo record, he said it is “actually a step backwards” from his 2015 album ‘The Desired Effect’.

“It’s more in the ‘Flamingo’ direction,” he told us. “I made two South West records, if you want to know the truth. One is a romantic South West record, and the other is a narrative South West record which picks up where [The Killers’ 2021 album] ‘Pressure Machine’ left off.

“I’m thrilled about both of them, and they’ll both come out before the next Killers record – but I’m thrilled about the next Killers record.”

As for Dacus, she is currently on her ‘Forever Is A Feeling’ tour – named after her fourth studio album from this March. See the full list of shows that Dacus is due to play over the rest of the summer here, and find any remaining tickets here.

In a four-star review of ‘Forever Is A Feeling’, NME wrote: “Though it exudes plenty of joy along the way, ‘Forever Is A Feeling’ doesn’t shy away from the more daunting aspects of being totally obsessed with somebody; “This is bliss, this is hell,” Dacus sings on the title track. “Forever is a feeling, and I know it well.” Though longing and mortality have long been recurring themes in Dacus’ music, the stakes feel even higher – and even more gripping – when there’s so much to lose.”

It was later named as one of NME’s best albums of 2025 so far.

Elsewhere, at a recent show in Dublin, Dacus covered Fontaines D.C.’s ‘Roy’s Tune’ – watch footage here.
