Watch Linkin Park’s huge opening performance from 2025 Champions League final

Linkin Park played the kick-off show for the UEFA Champions League final in Munich on Saturday night – watch the footage below.

The band took to the stage at the Allianz Arena on May 31 for a trip through their career, taking in classic tracks ‘In The End’ and ‘Numb’, as well as ‘The Emptiness Machine’ and ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ from 2024’s ‘From Zero’.

Their set played out in front of a crowd of over 64,000 people, who later watched a historic 5-0 victory for Paris Saint-Germain over Inter Milan in the showpiece match, the largest ever winning margin in a Champions League or European Cup final.

Last year, Lenny Kravitz performed at the show ahead of the final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid at London’s Wembley Stadium. Anitta performed the year before.

Elsewhere, Linkin Park recently shared their latest singles ‘Up From The Bottom’ and ‘Unshatter’ from ‘From Zero’. That record was their first since the tragic death of frontman Chester Bennington, and followed the news that Dead Sara’s Emily Armstrong had joined the band as the new singer.

They will hit Europe and UK as part of their world tour later this year, including a stop at Wembley Stadium on June 28 – see all announced tour dates here. Visit here to buy UK tickets, and here for international tickets.

‘From Zero’ was given a three-star review by NME, which described the record as having “an intriguing mix of sensational, knockout stadium rock and some perplexingly tired songwriting”.

“Crucially, ‘From Zero’ must be viewed as a reset, exemplified by its title which pays homage to the band’s former name: Xero,” it read. “Therefore, any inevitable comparisons to their largely masterful discography must bear in mind the place from which ‘From Zero’ was born: an organic desire from Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn and Shinoda to create together as Linkin Park once more.”

The band released a deluxe edition of the LP on May 16.
