Lana Del Rey brought out Addison Rae to perform ‘Diet Pepsi’ at her first-ever headline show at Wembley Stadium in London – check out footage of the duet below.
Last night, Lana Del Rey performed her first-ever headlining show at the Wembley Stadium in London, where she was supported by Addison Rae. Towards the end of her set, Lana performed ‘Venice Bitch’, marking the first time the hit has been played on her ongoing tour. Addison Rae appeared onstage for the song, though she did not sing with Lana.
Later, Lana brought Addison to the front of the stage, where she told the audience that she was “so excited” to be performing the next song, as she’s loved ‘Diet Pepsi’ “so much”. The two then launched into a duet of the Addison Rae hit, with Lana performing the first verse.
NME was at the show and managed to capture footage of the moment – check it out below.
Later, the pair performed one of Lana’s own songs, ‘57.5’, before Lana Del Rey closed out the show with a cover of John Denver’s ‘Country Road, Take Me Home’. You can watch them duet ‘57.5’ below.
Lana Del Rey is due to play one mor shows at Wembley tonight (July 4) to wrap up her tour. The opening night of her tour in Cardiff scored a five-star review, with NME‘s Rhian Daly writing: “All she needs is her exquisite voice and beautifully written songs, delivered with as much heart and emotion as she shares tonight. It might not have seemed obvious at first, but once you’ve witnessed it, Del Rey the stadium headliner feels like a very natural fit after all.”
As for Addison Rae, her debut album ‘Addison’ scored a four-star review, with Alex Rigotti writing for NME: “If you claimed Addison Rae would become one of the biggest poptimist successes five years ago, you probably would have been pelted with phones playing He’s All That on Netflix. But ‘Addison’ is bold, expressive, and catchy as hell, and with little overt biography, it’s completely personal in its craftsmanship. You better start planning glittery, hot-pink dance parties with ‘Addison’ blasting in the background.”
