Watch Knocked Loose, Deafheaven and Scowl join forces at Sound And Fury Festival

Knocked Loose have been joined by Deafheaven‘s George Clarke and Scowl‘s Kat Moss at their headline Sound And Fury set.

The Kentucky hardcore band closed out the LA festival with their debut headline set on Sunday (July 13), where they had some huge surprises up their sleeves.

Midway through, Deafheaven vocalist George Clarke stepped in for their song ‘God Knows’, which Knocked Loose originally recorded with Portrayal of Guilt‘s Matt King.

Former NME Cover star Kat Moss of Scowl then joined later on, singing Knocked Loose’s collaboration with Poppy ‘Suffocate’. Though Scowl were also playing the festival held at Exposition Park, Deafheaven were not listed on the line-up – coming as a complete surprise to fans.

You can watch a full video of Knocked Loose’s riotous headline set below, with Clarke joining at the 27:52 mark and Moss at 33:00.

We spoke to Knocked Loose in March, where they spoke about teaming up with Poppy on their 2024 album, ‘You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To‘.

“When we got the opportunity to collaborate with Poppy, we realised that it was a curveball for a lot of our listeners,” frontman Bryan Garris told us. “Our way to balance that was to make this song insane, to the point where you’re laughing at how heavy some of these breakdowns are.

“Poppy’s music is all over the place in a very positive way, so we could also do things that are a little bit weirder,” he added. “The part where she comes in, it’s an off time hi-hat, like a dance beat. Obviously, there’s the reggaeton mosh part. Those were ideas that we already had in the bank, but they felt goofy in the context of a normal Knocked Loose song. When you have Poppy, it makes sense.”
