Watch Kesha join A.G. Cook for ‘Yippee-Ki-Yay’ at Coachella 2025

A.G. Cook brought out Kesha as a guest during his Coachella weekend two set for ‘Yippee Ki Yay’ – watch below.

The hyperpop producer was performing on the Gobi Stage on Friday (April 18), playing a set dominated by his 2024 solo album ‘Britpop’, as well as a sprinkling of his collaborations with others – Charli XCX’s ‘Von Dutch’ closed out the show.

It was the surprise appearance of Kesha halfway through the set that stood out, with the two playing a version of Cook’s remix of Kesha’s recent single ‘Yippee-Ki-Yay‘, a collaboration with T-Pain.

In Cook’s appearance at the first weekend of this year’s Coachella, his guest was Danny Brown, who performed ‘Attak’, his 2014 collaboration with Rustie, as well as Charli XCX’s cult-favourite ‘Part 4 U’.

Cook released his triple album ‘Britpop’ last year, and it was met with a glowing five-star review from NME. Writer Tilly Foulkes said of the record: “His talent for juxtaposing very real emotional matters with his hypnagogic sounds both pulls the feeling and the sound away from each other while keeping them bound together – grounded in the very real world, only to be twisted into something glossy and more beautiful, focused on the tiny details that make up how it feels to be a person.”

‘Yippee-Ki-Yay’, meanwhile, was released last month and it is the latest preview of Kesha’s upcoming sixth studio album ‘Period’, which is due out on July 4 via her own independent label. It will also include the 2024 singles ‘Joyride’ and ‘Delusional’, her first releases since splitting from RCA and Kemosabe.

Later in 2025, Kesha is due to play a number of UK live shows. These include a slot at Mighty Hoopla in London, where she’ll perform alongside Ciara, Kate Nash, Pixie Lott, Loreen, Vengaboys, Mutya, Jamelia, Jojo, Erika Jayne, G Flip and Daniel Bedingfield.

She also has two headline gigs coming up on these shores, taking place in Manchester and Glasgow in May. Find any remaining tickets here.
