Watch Jon Stewart, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel join Abbey Romeo to cover The White Stripes

An all-star band of late night talk show hosts have joined Abbey Romeo for covers of The White Stripes – watch below.

Romeo – the star of Netflix’s reality series Love On The Spectrum – appeared at the ‘Night Of Too Many Stars’ event for the Netflix Is A Joke festival on Thursday (May 7), and led a band made up of Conan O’Brien on guitar, Jon Stewart on drums and Jimmy Kimmel on bass clarinet.

Together, they played versions of ‘Seven Nation Army’ and ‘We’re Going To Be Friends’, with all proceeds from the event going to the non-profit organisation NEXT For Autism.

Also appearing on the night was Noah Wyle, star of The Pitt, who dressed in scrubs as his character Dr. Robby and gave two members of the audience a physical exam live on stage with a stethoscope.

Others to take to the stage at the Hollywood Bowl were Adam Sandler, Bill Burr, Steve Carell, Sarah Silverman, Nikki Glaser, John Mulaney and Ali Wong.

Kimmel, Stewart and O’Brien have all been consistently critical of the Donald Trump administration, with Kimmel ripping into the president while presenting an award at the Oscars this year.

“We hear a lot about courage at shows like this but telling a story that could get you killed for telling it is real courage,” he began. “As you know there are some countries whose leaders don’t support free speech. I’m not at liberty to say which. Let’s just leave it at North Korea and CBS.”

After getting a cheer from the audience, Kimmel then took a dig at the recent Amazon Prime Video documentary focusing on Donald Trump’s wife, Melania.

“Fortunately for all of us there’s an international community of filmmakers dedicated to telling the truth, oftentimes at great risk to make films that teach us, that call out injustice, that inspire us to take action, and there are also documentaries where you walk around the White House trying on shoes,” he joked.

Jimmy Kimmel Live! was temporarily suspended by ABC last year after the host accused the MAGA movement of exploiting the murder of Charlie Kirk, with the US president celebrating the news. Kimmel was reinstated less than a week later after a backlash from the entertainment industry.
