Jake Shears made a surprise appearance with Kesha at Mighty Hoopla this weekend – check out footage and the setlist below.
The festival, known for its celebration of queer culture, continued over the weekend at Brockwell Park, South London. One of the performers lined-up for yesterday (June 1), was Kesha, and her set saw her bring out the Scissor Sisters frontman as a surprise guest.
The collaboration took place towards the end of her 13-song set, following renditions of her huge hits like ‘TiK ToK’, ‘Timber’ which she starred in with Pitbull, ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ and ‘Blow’.
For the performance of ‘We R Who We R’, the singer brought out Shears, before then performing a joint cover of the Scissor Sisters classic track ‘Let’s Have A Kiki’ – check out footage below.

‘Take It Off’
‘Timber’ (Pitbull cover) (shortened)

For Kesha, the set in London came just days after she announced details of her 2026 ‘Tits Out’ UK and European tour. Following on from her North American dates, all shows will come in celebration of her upcoming sixth studio album ‘Period’, which is due out on July 4 via her own independent label.
It will contain the recent hit ‘Yippee-Ki-Yay’, as well as the 2024 singles ‘Joyride’ and ‘Delusional’ – her first releases since splitting from RCA and Kemosabe.
For Scissor Sisters, the cover at the festival came as the Jake Shears-led band played at The O2 Arena in London on May 23. Scheduled as part of their reunion tour that has seen them performing their first live shows in 13 years, the show in the UK capital saw them surprise fans by bringing out Self Esteem and Sir Ian McKellen.
As for other Mighty Hoopla news, JADE made headlines at the event this year as she led a chant from the crowd and said “fuck you” to JK Rowling. It took place as she played ‘FUFN (Fuck You For Now)’, and took aim at the controversial Harry Potter author following anti-trans comments.
