Jack Black broke out a hilarious cover of Nickelback‘s ‘How You Remind Me’ during an interview for his new Anaconda reboot.

The star burst into an impromptu rendition of the 2001 single after asking “What was Nickelback’s biggest hit?” in a seemingly random moment as the interviewer for IMDb was trying to ask co-star Paul Rudd about his time on Friends.

“What a..he held that shit,” Rudd said following Black’s performance, which you can view below.

Black added: “Took me a while dude. I went into a coma, you were talking by yourself looking to me for help and I was like ‘I can’t, I’m trying to remember the Nickelback [song].’ I’m so glad it’s such a relief.”

Pointing to the interviewer, he went on: “He had already moved on to the next question and I went back to Nickelback. And I think amazingly I got every lyric right.”

It comes after the Tenacious D star earlier this year recreated Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘Mr. Crowley’ video alongside Roman Morello, son of Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, and Revel Ian, son of Anthrax’s Ian Scott, to mark the final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham.

He also previously covered David Bowie‘s ‘Suffragette City’ alongside a band from “the original school of rock”.

Anaconda, which is currently doing the rounds in cinemas, is a reboot of the original 1997 film starring Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Erik Stoltz, Danny Trejo and Owen Wilson, which was pilloried by critics and earned several Golden Raspberry Awards.

Despite that, it went on to become a cult classic and made enough money to establish a franchise, with Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004), Anaconda 3: Offspring (2008), Anacondas: Trail of Blood (2009) and Lake Placid v. Anaconda (2015) all following.
