Watch Hozier Join Lucy Dacus to Perform ‘Bullseye’ in New York

“I blacked out and would like to see it,” Dacus wrote on X, asking fans to send her videos of their performance

Lucy Dacus might not remember this happening, but Hozier joined her on stage for a performance of Forever Is a Feeling’s “Bullseye” in New York on Wednesday night.

“Who has a video of Hozier surprising me on stage last night,” Dacus asked on X. “I blacked out and would like to see it.” Fans quickly replied to videos of the Irish musician sitting next to her on the Radio City Music Hall stage for their performance.

The video captures Hozier sitting next to Dacus on a royal blue bench as Dacus kicks off the song on guitar and Hozier taps his foot along to the beat. “I’ll miss borrowin’ your books to read your notes in the margin/The closest I came to readin’ your mind,” sang Hozier in the third verse before being joined for Dacus. “The answers to the questions only made more questions/I hope you’re never fully satisfied.”

Dacus has long called Hozier one of her favorite artists, revealing last December that he was her “top artist” of the year. She even called him an “honorary lesbian” during an interview with Them. “I definitely know some lesbians who don’t love women,” Dacus told the queer outlet. “And I suspect, from what I know, that Hozier actually loves women, and so a lot of lesbians who love women can get down with his music because it’s about loving women and there’s a ton of art that is for women haters.”

Dacus is currently on her Forever Is a Feeling tour, which she announced more dates for earlier this month. She’ll stop in cities such as Philly, Columbus, Portland, Berkeley, San Diego, and Pittsburgh through the summer and fall.
