Dua Lipa has performed a cover of AC/DC‘s ‘Highway To Hell’ in Melbourne, Australia – check out footage of the performance below.

Last night (March 17), Dua Lipa kicked off her Australia and New Zealand tour. It marked the first of five shows at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. To celebrate the commencement of her shows down under, she paid homage to one of Australia’s biggest bands, rock legends AC/DC.
Early into her set, Dua Lipa performed a rousing cover of ‘Highway To Hell’, sandwiched between ‘These Walls’ and ‘Maria’. She said while introducing the cover: “I thought why not do a new song every night from a local artist from every place we’re in. Obviously Australia has an abundance of amazing musicians, so we thought we’d go really big from the very beginning. If you know it, sing it.”
The pop star will hit the road in the UK this summer, kicking off the run with two huge concerts at London’s Wembley Stadium (June 20, 21) followed by two dates at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on June 24 and 25. As for other Dua Lipa news, last month announced a special re-release of ‘Future Nostalgia’ in celebration of its fifth anniversary. The vinyl set will be released on March 28, almost exactly five years after the album first dropped. The original album’s release was originally meant to be April 3 but was brought forward by a week, coinciding with the beginning of the first COVID-19 lockdown. The album was also leaked, which influenced the decision to move it forward.
Last December the singer reflected on her headline set at Glastonbury 2024, and said that she “took as many mental pictures as [she] could” during the show. In a four-star review of Lipa’s Glastonbury 2024 headline show, NME described the set as “a powerhouse performance to shut down the critics”.
It added: “‘I don’t want this moment to pass me by,’ she says, looking out in awe at the mass of people in front of her, ‘I’m not gonna get bored of this’. The feeling is mutual, too, as the night not only becomes a glittering celebration of pop in its highest form but also serves as a reminder that even the most outlandish aspirations can become a reality.”
